Founder of the group Vortex in the early 90s (Eksaïphnès/Les Disques du Soleil et de l’Acier), Nico Guerrero is an experimental guitarist working on the electro-acoustic possibilities generated by the electric guitar. Filtered through a chain of effects and reverb, the massive, chiming, overtone-rich sounds build a deep, hallucinatory, melancholy sonic space.
He worked his last years with the choreographer Sylvia Hillard on several co-creations and recently participated in the recording of the next album of the Italian group NG.
In May 2015, Nico Guerrero and American composer Rhys Chatham collaborated together on the composition of several instrumental pieces.
Nico will present to Detail new compositions for solo electric guitar, accompanied by a video created for the occasion by Jean-Christophe Sanchez.
