He is best known for his "guitar orchestra" compositions where he directs several tens or even hundreds of guitarists. Founder of the Vortex band (Fr) in the early 90s, Nico Guerrero is an experimental guitarist working on electro-acoustic possibilities generated by the electric guitar. Filtered by various electronic treatments., the massive sound and chords rich in harmonics build a deep and hallucinatory sound space. Nico and Rhys paint a soundscape with constantly moving perspectives. Using their different instruments and sound textures as harmonic palette, they conceive an alchemic organic music where the colors merge, transformed into an infinity of shades.
