The 11th anniversary of the Icelandic experimental music festival Extreme Chill will be held October 7th – October 10th in Reykjavík.
This year, the Extreme Chill festival will be taking place in Harpa concert hall (Kaldalón), Húrra, Gaukurinn, Auto and few other venues (more info later). There, guests will revel in the craft of such experimental, electronica and classical artists as:
Plaid, Roger Eno, Mixmaster Morris, Bjarki, Mathilde Caeyers & Arrtu Niemenen, Ingibjörg Elsa Turchi, Kjartan Hólm, Hekla, Harp & Arp, Nico Guerrero, Hermigervill, Borgar Magnason, Skurken, Tonik Ensemble, Good Moon Deer, Brynjar Daðason & Hafdís Bjarnadóttir, Orang Volante, MSEA, Soddill, Flaaryr, Hjaban, Klaki and many more (The final line up will be announced soon.)
The fundamental aim of the festival is to create connections between Icelandic and foreign musicians, conjoining different art forms-from electronic music to visual arts- and to draw attention to electronic Reykjavik, the Electronic Music Capital of Iceland.
Tickets to the festival cost a meager 11.900 ISK. The Festival pass also incl. the final concert of the Festival with the legendary band Plaid on the Sunday 10th of October + Roger Eno concert in Harpa.
A four-day music festival where local and foreign musicians of all ages and diverse backgrounds come together to create music under the inspiration of Icelandic nature. Extreme Chill will be a mystifying journey around electric Reykjavík.
